Through experience, formal training, company culture and reading, I have a broad tool set to apply to solving technical problems, including:
With years of experience addressing difficult engineering challenges in various industries, I have a great deal of professional development and tools to use addressing technical challenges that engineers face developing world class products.
I have worked an a variety of products in several industries, including: Aerospace, Rock Bits, Medical Devices, Color Printers, SBIR Research, Laser Diode Test Equipment and Consumer Electronics. This experience has ranged from one of capital equipment to very high volume automated assembly disposable devices.
I've worked at all phases of product development, from idea generation and proof of concept prototypes to full mass production design verification and launch. I've had the pleasure of designing and introducing dozens of products.
I've worked as both an individual contributor as well as an engineering manager, leading teams of 4 to 10 cross functional engineers. I've also had project management responsibility for many projects.
For many new products, reverse engineering and empirical testing of prototypes can be more effective in understanding design functionality and critical parameter sensitivities. For other products, careful vendor sourcing can make or break the material cost of project.
Regardless of industry or the products, I can rapidly come up to speed and contribute. I have a track record of hitting the ground running and driving innovation.
